Paulo's brush with London Fire Brigade

Paula's office at Harvey Nash was like home from home. It was quite small but Paulo had all the comforts, including a toaster for those very early starts. One morning at about 7.30 am, the fire alarm went off and the early morning birds were checking smoke detectors, fire exits but nothing could be found. It wasn't until we checked the panel, we realised it was on the ground floor. It baffled the London Fire Brigade at first, but we then followed the smell of burning toast! Yes, it was Paulo's burnt toast. Paulo was busy tidying up things, but completely unaware. It was priceless and we all had a giggle; but only when the London Fire Brigade had left. Special memory.
